Also known as a division board it's the full internal dimensions of the hive, with no bee spaces around it, it can be used to 'partition off' part of a bee hive, to render it less useful to the bees or it can be used to fill minor gaps at the ends of groups of frames.
In some circumstances it can be used to separate independent nucs.
Plywood construction, equivalent of 2nd quality hives - some wood knots may be present.
Still to use but seems acceptable.
Not received the board yet hope it comes soon
What can I say. It’s two bits of wood, one pine , one 3/4 ply. The “bits of wood” do exactly as they were cut and put together to do, they saved me from having to cut my own bits of wood and put them together, so no fuss and the bees are happy.
4 out of the 10 boards had either holes where knots had been or a gash across the middle. Poor quality control
Delivery was super quick as usual, and communications up to the usual excellent standard - so thank you for that.
The follower boards are very good quality, and a nice snug fit in a national brood box.
