Good entry level extractor at a very reasonable price for beekeepers with only one or two supers to extract.
Fairly solid construction and easy to clean down.
OK, so this is a no-frills extractor, and certainly one of, if not the cheapest I could find - BUT, it does the job. I have no complaints. My only suggestion would be that it's handy to put a loose cable tie around the top of the back edge of each side of the extractor cage so that you can slide this down over the top lug of a frame to hold it more securely in place.
For a cheap, but perfectly usable extractor for a hobby beekeeper it's perfect!
Not used yet but all seem well made. Also promised delivery as usual.
As a new beekeeper I was after a fairly cheap extractor as I only have 2 hives. I agree the pin issue is something I have too when extracting but it does the job, the pin is easily replaced and if you're short of money and a small scale beekeeper it does the job.
This is the sccond one that I have had, however this was not through choice, the first one the gearing started to mangle whilst the first two frames were spinning and the pin that you engage the handle with came out in the honey, this was exchanged with no issues, the second one the gears are working OK but the pin that you engage the handle with must have fallen out as it is no longer in it place so had to put a stainless nail in myself to use.
I would not recommend this product, best spending more money and getting a better quilaty one.
