Taper candle mould

This candle mould is a nightmare. It is supposed to be an easy to use mould. I have spent hours trying to get a wick into this mould in many different ways. In the end I lost it and I have now cut a slit on one side of the mould nearly all the way down in order to be able to grab the wicking needle and pull the wick through. I would not recommend this mould. It remains to be seen what the candle looks like with the slit in the mould whether it leaves a joint marking...

Flexible Taper candle mould

I had expected it to be a split mould as I thought all the flexible ones were.
As it isn't a split one I now need lots of other equipment to get the wick in / out etc, so beware if you are new to candle making!
