14x12 corex nuc boxes

bought 10 of these poor quality folding joints not perforated properly some not even marked at all had scribe my own folding lines sides bowed out allowing bees to escape had to goriller glue them also cover tabs to lock lid try putting the lid through the tabs with 5 frames of bees trying to get out poor design squashes lots of bees as cant see whats happening if your stuck it would do wont buy any more

Great & affordable

I bought a coupe of these and have been using them this spring for swarm collection and temporary housing of the swarms.

Very versatile and robust. I’d really recommend. I will definitely buying some more!

Very useful

Have been looking for 14 x 12 corex nuc boxes for a while, so a very handy addition to the range. A couple of minor points.
The bung is not tethered, so once lost in the bee shed could be tricky to close up the box.
Also the ventilation holes were not punched all the way through, so unless you clean them out before use there will be a very unhappy bunch of bees in there.
Frames are very tight at the ends, but once in they seems to be fine.

Good value nuc

I bought three of these nucs at BeeTradex and wish I'd bought more. I assembled them as soon as I got them home but have not put them to use yet so I'm not sure how bee tight they will be in practice. They seem a little flimsy as you would expect but they look as if they'll do the job that I bought them for which is transport and temporary storage of nucleus colonies. Full price is a little expensive but at show prices they're a very good buy.
