About this item
The whole team have worked incredibly hard to provide kit and all supplies required to expand apiaries across the season especially in the exceptional circumstances during COVID-19. Going above and beyond to get what was needed within timescales especially when other companies emailed when an order was placed saying you simply would have to wait! Fantastic effort, great product range and competitive pricing as always!!
They were great, very easy to assemble and Do the job brilliantly
Had no problems with frames them selves, the wax sheets all tended to be 1 /2 mls to wide so had to take the tinest bit of each wax sheet, BUT THE BAS RETAINER BAR, I am usg the purchased frame nails for Langstroth from Bee Equipment, As soon as you tap a nail into this very thin bar to hold in your wax and catch your wires, The bar splits, PLEASE MAKE THIS BAR THICKER TO HOLD A NAIL AT LEAST, No knots . easy to otherwise build fit perfectly as you would expect,
Well when they arrived they looked different but when I had put one together and tested it. I was pleased.. I put 100 frames together and x4 broke. Really good quality and now saving for another 100.I used a nail gun and glue as these will be going through my new steaming machine so they need to hold up...
Not what i was expecting. Thought they would be hoffman side bars but they dont have a tapered edge. Also wedge is so thin you cant put a frame nail down it when fitting foundation! Foundation has to be trimmed to fit in grooved bottom bar. Takes a long time to make up frames and a lot of fettling is required. Can't send them back because I've made up quite a few. Think I'll use them for expensive kindling and buy some frames frames from Thornes.
